Helping kids spread joy through charitable giving!

A Children’s Charitable Initiative, designed to teach kids (in a simple way) about helping their peers in need; creating empathy and kindness.

Our story

Michèle’s mother Marni loved Christmas, and always found joy in picking presents for family and friends. “Joy de Jean Patou” was also her favourite perfume!

Kindness and empathy can be learned at a young age. Michèle, a long time Preschool Teacher, came up with the idea of doing a charitable giving program at her school in December of 2019. Each family was asked to find a colourful box and fill it with unwrapped items that children in need might like to receive. The response was great, and Joy in a Box was born.

Michèle has been a teacher in Toronto since 1985 and is the mother of three adult sons. She has always connected naturally with young children and would be happy to talk to you about this program!
